Playground, 2025
From Noguchi’s sculptural playforms to the lighthouse in Wales, from the basketball court on the Island of the Sun in Bolivia to Copenhagen’s CopenHill – I am fascinated by how playgrounds can merge art, nature, and architecture. They invite freedom of play and spontaneous interaction.
In this work, I use grey stoneware as the building medium, because it holds the colour of concrete. Concrete is one of the most cost-effective and practical materials. I used it to reflect how playgrounds can be built simply and shared widely, making play accessible to everyone.
Play isn’t just for children. It is for all of us. Everyone deserves a space to experience a moment of lightness and joy.
