City Record, 2024–
Cities change too fast. Often, I find myself unable to keep up—the moment shifts before I have fully taken it in, like a moving image that plays once and never again.
Photography allows me to hold onto fleeting moments in a place. Through my photographs, I can revisit, study, and understand the elements that stir my emotions and memories, offering different perspectives on places that have shaped me. Sometimes, it is a way to reconnect with a moment; other times, it reveals something I had overlooked in real-time.
Shooting with film, with its rich textures and organic imperfections, feels like an invisible hand shaping each image, capturing the atmosphere of a place in a way that digital cannot. All the photos here are taken with my Rollei 35 SE analogue camera, experimenting with various film types.
This ongoing City Record began in February 2024 and will continue to evolve.
